The Bulldogs enter at 0-1 after opening the season with a 42-14 road loss to Wofford. The Citadel now gets another opportunity away from home as Maurice Drayton's team takes on an FBS opponent before returning to Charleston for its home opener against Charleston Southern next week.

Charlotte will be making its 2026 season debut and beginning the second year of the Tim Albin era. The 49ers are coming off a difficult 1-11 campaign in 2025 and will turn to starting quarterback Cole Gonzales as they look to make progress this fall. Saturday's home opener gives Charlotte its first chance to establish a new tone before the schedule becomes more challenging.

This is a great college football matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
