Oregon Ducks' national title odds drop, just inside top 10
Oregon's 39-31 loss to Oklahoma State was crushing, both for the team and for their national title odds.
While it may seem like the world is falling for the Oregon Ducks after falling 39-31 to the Oklahoma State Cowboys , all of their goals remain in attainable. Of course, they'll have to right the ship after two disappointing showings to begin the year, but the loss to Oklahoma State came in non-conference play. Once the Big Ten schedule begins in two weeks, the Ducks ' loss won't count against them.
So, while Oregon can still rebound and have the season that they aimed to have in the end, that doesn't mean that the betting odds are in their favor. And how could they be? The Ducks were utterly outplayed in every aspect of the game against the Cowboys. Dan Lanning said it himself, that the game could've and maybe should've been a blowout rather than an eight-point loss.
The Ducks' national title odds dropped slightly after their Week 1 showing versus Boise State , but they dropped even further after their loss to Oklahoma State. There was other action around college football as well, with a new favorite emerging at the top.
Check out the post-Week 2 national title odds according to FanDuel Sportsbook , where the Ducks sneak into the top 10.
