NEW DELHI: India added seven more medals to its Asian Games 2026 tally on Sunday, but the haul was not enough to keep the country inside the top 10 of the medal standings.India ended Day 8 with 37 medals — four gold, 16 silver and 17 bronze — but slipped from 10th to 12th position. The drop came despite the sizeable medal haul because India did not add a gold, while countries above it continued to accumulate gold medals and increase their overall totals.China continued to dominate the Games after crossing the 200-medal mark, with 119 gold, 48 silver and 38 bronze for 205 medals.
