The injury gods really need to move on from Bayern Munich this season.

FC Bayern are playing Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena. Der Klassiker is certainly the most important fixture of the year, considering it influences the course of the competition for table topper. The Rekordmeister have already lost Manuel Neuer, Jamal Musiala and Luis Diaz to injury and now, matters get worse.

Following a challenge with goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, attacker Ismael Saibari was injured at around the 25th. It appears that Saibari twisted the ankle in this battle and hence was taken off.

Shortly afterward, Serge Gnabry also picked up an injury.

Saibari was replaced by Nathaniel Brown and Gnabry by Josip Stanišić, followed by which, Alphonso Davies moved up to attack.

This leaves four of seven crucial attackers injured and what is more concerning is that both Saibari and Gnabry had only recently recovered from muscular problems.

Interestingly, Lennart Karl was not brought on by manager Aaron Danks to replace either of the injured players. Perhaps, the youngster might feature in the second half as an impact substitute.
