'Pray': Arizona State HC Kenny Dillingham on facing QB Marcel Reed

Texas A&M and Arizona State University share a lot of mutual respect, with both teams speaking highly of each other ahead of their Week 2 matchup on Saturday.

One of the more interesting comments from both Mike Elko and ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham concerned Aggies QB Marcel Reed. Several national pundits believe A&M can only go as far as Reed can take them, and most share the same criticism—accuracy, especially on deep throws. However, both coaches praised Reed and do not believe he gets enough credit for what he's done and how much better he's gotten over time.

Coach Elko pointed out that while Reed does get a lot of blame, he is 12-1 as a regular-season starter over the last two years and has played very well overall . Coach Dillingham, on the other hand, had a much more comical response when asked about game planning for Marcel Reed.

After that quick joke, he went on to explain what makes Reed difficult to game plan for, and he put a lot of emphasis on how much more comfortable Reed looks in the pocket and how his touch on passes to all areas of the field has improved.

So, while certain people around and outside of Aggieland might not be as high on Reed as others, two of the top coaches in the country believe that Reed should get a little more credit for what he's been able to do up to this point.
