David Pollack predicts winner of Oklahoma-Michigan

The Oklahoma Sooners vs. the Michigan Wolverines is one of the biggest games of Week 2. The Sooners started the season with a dominant 51-0 win over the University of Texas at El Paso Miners, whereas the Wolverines struggled in their 13-12 win over the Western Michigan Broncos.

Still, this game features two of the biggest brands in college football. It's also the first trip for the Sooners to Ann Arbor. The two have faced each other only twice. One was in 1976, when Oklahoma beat Michigan in the Orange Bowl to win the national championship. The other was last year, when the Sooners defeated Michigan in Norman.

College football analyst David Pollack said he feels Oklahoma will win again on Saturday.

"Oklahoma looks way better," Pollack said on 'See Ball Get Ball with David Pollack.' "There's no way I can pick Michigan after last week and what I saw in the struggles, but I do think it'll be somewhat competitive. I got it like 24-17. Oklahoma winning the football game at Michigan."

The contrast between the two teams' openers is difficult to ignore. Oklahoma scored 51 points, recorded 401 yards of total offense and shut out UTEP, while Michigan needed a controversial final sequence to avoid a stunning loss to Western Michigan.

The Wolverines' defense did keep them in the game, limiting Western Michigan to 221 yards of total offense, but the offense struggled to consistently move the football. Oklahoma, meanwhile, looked much more complete in its opener.

That doesn't mean the Sooners can overlook Michigan. The Wolverines have a talented roster, a strong defense and home-field advantage, which is why Pollack still expects the game to be competitive despite his confidence in Oklahoma.

The Sooners and Wolverines will play at 11:00 a.m. CT on Saturday on Fox.
