Li Yueru Sidelined For FIBA World Cup After Passport Goes Missing In Mail

Li Yueru hit an unfortunate situation recently after her passport got lost in the mail. This means that she will not be able to play for Team China in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, which is truly a disappointing blow to her team.

Yueru is obviously a powerhouse of talent and will be sorely missed by her teammates, who would have loved to have her experience, especially in games against Team USA. Yueru plays for the Wings in the league and clearly knows what many other USA players bring, or don't bring, to the court.

Yueru made the announcement about her passport going missing on her Instagram and that she and her team tried everything possible to find it. Unfortunately, the passport has still not been found.

"Unfortunately, my passport was lost in the mail and still hasn't been found. Throughout this time, we've all been working hard together and exploring every possible solution, but maybe we were just a little short on luck this time. As of today, the passport is still missing." Li Yueru wrote in her Instagram post.

Li Yueru went on to admit that sometimes "disappointment is simply part of life." Missing the World Cup and that too because of a missing passport, is definitely not something that any athlete feels good to experience. But, the baller seems to be handling the whole thing in a really mature way.

Li Yueru's Team Still Poses Major Threat To Team USA

Even with Li Yueru not being part of Team China, her girls are going to be one big threat to Team USA . The American girls will be facing China in their very first game and it is bound to be thrilling with the intense rivalry built up between the two.

One important player that Team USA will need to look out for is none other than Zhang Ziyu who stands remarkably tall at 7-foot-3. This height advantage is absent in every other team and the US ladies will need to find a way to work around this.

However, it is also true that Team China only poses a height problem for Team USA and nothing much more. The obvious biggest threat for Team USA will be none other than France and the two locking horns is bound to bring up fireworks on the scoreboard.
