Taunton, Milford girls soccer square off in Hockomock Kelley-Rex clash

Another week of the fall high school sports season has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.

Last week , both Bristol-Plymouth and Dighton-Rehoboth soccer continued their strong runs of form while Taunton volleyball won all three of its matches and three Greater Taunton area cross country teams had top finishers in their respective meets, with Bristol Aggie's top runner extending her dual meet winning streak.

The Taunton Daily Gazette High School Girls Athlete of the Week for Sept. 14-20 is Taunton field hockey's Colbie Peterson, receiving 72.1% of the vote. Bristol Aggie cross country's Taylor Nascimento came in second with 24.3% while Bristol-Plymouth soccer's Hannah Slavin received 2.3% to finish third.
