Carson Hocevar Heads Into the Chase With High Hopes

Carson Hocevar is officially headed to the Chase.

Hocevar broke through earlier this season at Talladega Superspeedway, earning his first career Cup Series victory in a thrilling finish. The 23 year old held off Chris Buescher by just 0.114 seconds to capture the win and prove he could compete with the sport's top drivers.

The victory was part of an impressive season for Hocevar, who has consistently shown speed at superspeedways and other tracks. He also recorded strong finishes at places such as Michigan and EchoPark Speedway, regularly putting the No. 77 Chevrolet near the front of the field.
