Could Cowboys still end up making trade with Raiders for Maxx Crosby?
Could the Raiders still get multiple future first-round picks from the Cowboys in exchange for Maxx Crosby? One prediction thinks so.
The Las Vegas Raiders stand to gain valuable building blocks for the future in the event that they decide to trade Maxx Crosby in 2026. Crosby is one of the best players in the NFL and warrants a first-round draft pick, at the least, in any trade, which is not incredible to think may happen this year.
Bleacher Report drafted up a hypothetical trade that sends Maxx Crosby to Dallas for edge rusher Rashan Gary and first-round picks in 2027 and 2028 in their list of bold trade predictions for this year.
"The Raiders seem content to keep Crosby after their offseason trade with the Baltimore Ravens fell through. However, they could revisit the idea of flipping the 29-year-old if they're struggling to compete in late October."
The Cowboys did attempt to trade for Crosby in the offseason, but lost out to the Baltimore Ravens, who Las Vegas struck a deal with centered around the superstar edge rusher prior to backing out of the deal with a failed physical designation.
Raiders did this deal it would be costly for Las Vegas, which would be moving one of the league's top defensive players. But the two first-round selections provide a lane to pursue a potential future franchise player, add young starters and fuel their progress toward returning to Super Bowl contention in short order.
Gary offers the Raiders an established pass rusher to play opposite Kwity Paye, rather than leaving the team with an immediate void at the position. He's also equipped to take on a leading role on the Raiders defense while Las Vegas also utilizes Patrick Johnson, as well as Keyron Crawford once the latter returns from injury.
For the Cowboys, acquiring Crosby will signal an aggressive push to strengthen their win-now roster, fueled largely by their star-powered offense, with a premier edge defender in the league.
