“Should be Ashamed”: Skip Bayless Launches Scathing Attack on Ryan Day-led Ohio State Staff and Players After Texas Debacle

In a weekend filled with upsets, the No. 4 Texas Longhorns took down the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes 24-23. The game was the biggest comeback for Texas since 2007, in an encounter that seemed to be getting away from them in the first half.

Steve Sarkisian's men crammed a game's worth of action into the last quarter of the encounter. Up until the end of the third quarter, the Longhorns had only managed to score three points while the Buckeyes had scored 23. It was in the fourth quarter that Arch Manning and the Longhorns scored 21 unanswered points.

While it's an amazing feat by Texas, it's also a bit negligent by Ohio State to have allowed such a score to get away from them. At least, that's what Skip Bayless seems to think:

"That game was 23-3 after 3 quarters. THE Ohio State should be ashamed – coaches and players," wrote Bayless on X.

What's most surprising is that Arch Manning didn't even win the quarterback battle in Austin this Saturday night. Manning threw for 196 yards, with one touchdown pass and an interception, while completing 62.1% of his passes.

For his part, Julian Sayin threw for 278 yards, also with one touchdown and an interception, while completing 53.1% of his passes.

While running around the field after securing the victory, signal-caller Arch Manning stopped for a moment to talk with ESPN's Laura Rutledge and express his feelings about Texas's victory. He admitted he was incredibly happy, but also shared the honor of the victory with his teammates:

"It felt good," the Texas quarterback said. "We have a bunch of good players, a lot of leaders. It's gonna be a fun night," said Manning immediately after the game ended

"I'm so proud of our guys in all three phases. It wasn't very pretty, but we found a way to win. That's what good teams do."

Arch Manning also said last year's game against Ohio State weighed on his shoulders. In Week 1 of the 2025 season, the Longhorns fell to the Buckeyes in a game at Columbus, Ohio, for which Manning was heavily criticized.
