Hansi Flick spoke at a press conference ahead of the match against Alavés, as he looks to pick up all three points after last weekend's Clásico defeat.
He addressed several key topics, including Raphinha's call-up to Brazil's squad for the November international friendlies: "I've spoken with Deco and he's a very important player. After the last international break, he came back injured, which wasn't ideal. But it is what it is; we can't change it. I know Rapha is the captain here and holds the club close to his heart, but he's Brazilian and, when he's called up, he's ready. Every player wants to play for Brazil . If he can manage his playing time well, I'll be happy. Traveling to Singapore isn't ideal, but it's beyond my control."
At the press conference, the Barça coach also gave his view on the Ballon d'Or winner: "Kane deserved it. You know my opinion of Lamine ; he's good enough to win this award."
He left the door open to signing a defender in the upcoming transfer window: "I said it during the transfer window: we're always talking about what's best for the team and how we can improve it. That's something we're doing. We'll see. We still have a few weeks before the window opens. We've discussed it with Deco, Bojan and my staff. That's how we work. If we can, perhaps we will."
