Jake Paul scheduled for Dec. 24 return to boxing
Jake Paul looks to deliver on Christmas Eve.
Nearly a year after getting his jaw literally smashed and reassembled, Jake Paul is set to make his boxing return as he's been announced for a December 24 return in Dubai, with his opponent to be announced at a later date. The fight will be Paul's first since Paul stepped into the ring with former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua , getting stopped in six rounds .
"I've spent years proving people wrong, taking risks and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I'd face," Paul said in a statement. "Nothing that's happened has changed my belief in myself or what I'm working toward. I'm hungrier than ever and on Thursday, December 24, I'm returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey."
Dubai is a city that thinks big, breaks boundaries, and doesn't believe in limits. That's exactly the kind of place I want to make my comeback. We've got plenty of names on the list; let's see who signs the contract. Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody's getting knocked out."
As it pertains to possible opponents, Paul had recently issued a public list of preferred foes which included Darren Till , Nate Diaz , Conor McGregor , Ryan Garcia , Deontay Wilder , Canelo Alvarez , Gervonta Davis , and more. Current reports suggest Till to be the most likely of those options at the moment.
