LeBron James reacts as new Rams star Myles Garrett claims No. 1 spot in NFL Top 100 rankings

LeBron James had the perfect response to Myles Garrett's latest honour. The NFL's Top 100 Players list for 2026 has Garrett at No. 1, and LeBron was quick to celebrate.

'YESSIR!!!!' James posted on X, reposting the NFL announcement alongside a string of fire emojis.

The two share a bond that goes back years, both coming from the Cleveland area.

Garrett takes the top spot for the first time in his career, voted by the players themselves. Josh Allen finishes second.

It comes after a season for the ages. Garrett racked up 23 sacks in 2025, breaking the record held by T.J. Watt and Michael Strahan, while adding 60 tackles and three forced fumbles for the Browns.

The Los Angeles Rams know exactly what they have. The club responded to the news on Instagram with a simple message: 'Top of the top.'

Garrett has now been voted to seventh (2021) through the years: No. 49 in 2019, No. 80 in 2020, No. 16 in 2021, No. 11 in 2022, No. 20 in 2023, No. 5 in 2024 and No. 8 in 2025. Topped the list in 2026.

It has been a remarkable climb to the summit.

The move to Los Angeles has given him his clearest shot yet at a Super Bowl. The Rams traded for Garrett in June, sending Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second and a 2029 third to Cleveland.

He joins a defensive front that now includes the recently unretired Aaron Donald, a group that makes Los Angeles the team to beat on paper. Matthew Stafford sits No. 4 on the same list, with Puka Nacua at No. 7.

Even teammates cannot explain him. 'He's unblockable. Like there's nothing you can do,' Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II said.

The Rams open the season with the NFL's first-ever game in Australia, facing the 49ers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on September 10.

Garrett has the money, the accolades and the respect of the league. The only thing missing is a ring, and Los Angeles is built to chase exactly that.
