Central Texas Week 9 football scores: District races begin to take shape in Austin area

Week 9 of the Central Texas high school football season saw one of the Austin area's four remaining undefeated teams suffer its first loss while Westlake registered a huge district rivalry win over Lake Travis.

Jarrell fell 28-6 to defending Class 4A Division I state champion Stephenville in their District 12-4A DI showdown. It was the Cougars' first loss, which means Cedar Park (9-0), Wimberley (7-0) and Thorndale (8-0) will look to stay perfect in Week 10 as the 2026 high school playoffs draw closer.
