WWE news: Ex-star makes 1st RAW appearance in 7 years

For the first time in nearly seven years, La Catalina, who is best known for her work in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide , made an appearance on WWE Monday Night RAW , marking her return to the red brand after almost seven years.

She competed in a Money in the Bank-qualifying match against Iyo Sky and Roxanne Perez. The Judgment Day member would ultimately win the match, but it marked Catalina's first match on RAW since Nov. 4, 2019, when she teamed up with Sin Cara to face Andrade and Zelina Vega.

Her return match pitted her against two of WWE's top women's division stars. Sky is a multi-time world champion, and Perez is a two-time NXT Women's Champion. It looked like Sky would seal the win by pinning Catalina, but Perez rolled her up for the pinfall.

Catalina is a professional wrestler who started competing long before her first WWE run started in 2019. She participated in a tryout for WWE in 2017 when she was 17. She signed a developmental deal once she turned 18, making her TV debut during the Nov. 4, 2019, edition of RAW.

She would hang around WWE for a couple more years, largely wrestling in NXT, Main Event, and 205 Live, but would leave in 2021.

In 2023, she joined Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. She would hang around until April 2026, when she left the promotion. During her time in CMLL, she squared off with fellow Chilean wrestler and current Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer .

Catalina joined AAA by crashing Flammer's celebration on Apr. 11, 2026. At Triplemanía 34, she beat Flammer to win the Reina de Reinas Championship. This ended Flammer's 1,128-day reign.

She has not defended the title since winning it. Her first match after the championship win was against Perez and Sky on RAW. It's unknown whether this will lead to more appearances from her on the WWE main roster.
