Five-star EDGE places Wisconsin in top four, announces commitment date

One of the top class of 2028 recruits has included the Wisconsin Badgers in his top four.

Wisconsin, to no surprise, has a very small class of 2028 at this point in time. Linebacker Cale Britt and interior offensive lineman Brock Barrows are their lone commitments, and both of them came back in July.

On Thursday, August 1, head coach Luke Fickell will learn if five-star EDGE Jalanie George is coming to Madison.

Rivals' Hayes Fawcett confirmed that George will be announcing his commitment in just over a weeks time, and the battle is down to Auburn, Miami, Washington, and Wisconsin.

According to Rivals , George is the No. 2 EDGE and No. 9 overall player in the class of 2028.

It's important to note that George plays for Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, Arizona.

When looking at the Badgers ' class of 2027 , commits Yahzeen Zion and Nathan Jones are both from the same school.

Wisconsin clearly has been building its pipeline in Goodyear for quite some time; now it's just a matter of whether or not they can land the first five-star in the Fickell era.
