Colorado High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams – Sept. 27

Cherry Creek's record dropped to 4-1 after having to forfeit their season-opening win. They still look like state title favorites. Ralson Valley and Mountain Vista both had big wins to set up a top-five matchup this weekend.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Colorado high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings , as of September 27.

The Bruins knocked off Cherokee Trail 37-21 to move to 4-1 on the year. Cherry Creek did have to forfeit their season-opening win over Chatfield after it was ruled that they played with an ineligible player. It snapped the Bruins ' 27-game winning streak. The Bruins will host Arapahoe on Friday.

The Eagles had their way with Castle View, pitching a 49-0 shutout. Valor Christian will host Legend on Friday in a top-10 matchup.

The Mustangs steamrolled over Rock Canyon 42-7 to move to 4-1 on the year. The Mustangs will host Mountain Vista on Thursday in the marquee matchup in the state.

The Golden Eagles took down Riverdale Ridge 42-13. Mountain Vista will play Ralston Valley on Thursday in a matchup of two of the state's top 5 teams.

The Bears stayed unbeaten and moved to 5-0 on the year with a 42-7 win over Pueblo West. The Bears will go on the road and play a solid Montrose team on Friday.

The Raptors moved to 5-0 with a 27-13 win over Mullen. The Raptors will host a strong 4-1 Grandview team on Thursday.

The Titans beat Arapahoe 41-17 to move back over .500 for the year. They will head on the road to play at No. 2-ranked Valor Christian on Friday.

The Lambkins moved up a spot in the top 10 after their 42-35 win over Legacy. It was the 4th straight game Fort Collins has scored over 40 points. The Lambkins will play at Arvada West on Friday.

The Eagles continued to roll with a dominant 30-7 win over Denver South. Broomfield will host Fruita Monument on Friday.

The Warriors lost to a very good Legend team, 41-17, but still moved up into the state's top 10. The road will get any easier when they play at top-ranked Cherry Creek on Friday.
