Liverpool Are Big Admirers Of This Wolves Winger: Should Iraola Move In For Him In January?

In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Liverpool are big admirers of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Mateus Mane. It has been mentioned that the Reds could face competition from Manchester United in pursuit of the Portuguese youngster.

Mane's Impressive Rise In English Football

Mane managed to catch the eye at times for Wolves in the Premier League last season when he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 18-year-old found the back of the net three times and earned a couple of assists in 27 matches for the West Midlands club in the league.

The talented teenager is currently among the most gifted wide players in his homeland. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are among the clubs keeping tabs on him.

His current contract at the Midlands club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on a cut-price deal next year.

Should Liverpool Boss Andoni Iraola Move In For Mane In January?

Mane is proficient at creating some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has the vision to engineer some promising chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The Portuguese talent can even chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team from the wide areas. Mane is primarily a left-winger but can also serve a central striker or play in the number ten position if needed. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won't take much time to adjust to life at the Merseyside club.

We can expect Mane to bring more firepower to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola's attack. He has what it takes to serve as a good rotational piece in the Merseyside club's squad.

At 18, the future looks quite promising for Mane as long as he continues to improve with each season. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the long run, so Iraola would be wise to move in for him when the transfer window reopens in January, but only if he is available for a reasonable fee.
