The Midshipmen are coming off a terrific 2025 season in which they went 11-2 and 7-1 in conference. They ended the season with a four-game winning streak, including victories over rival Army and Cincinnati in the Liberty Bowl. Their win total tied the program record, joining the 2019 team as the only 11-win team in Navy football history.

Towson comes into Saturday's game already 0-1 on the season after a 21-18 loss to Maine in CAA play last Thursday night. Towson fell behind by 13 points going into halftime, but rallied with 10 straight points in the second half to pull within a field goal. However, it wasn't enough. Andrew Indorf had 267 passing yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the loss. Towson finished the 2025 season 6-6 with a 4-4 conference mark.
