Former North Carolina coach Hubert Davis will debut on TNT Sports as part of its coverage of the opening week of the 2026-27 college basketball season.
He'll work in the studio on Nov. 5, when TNT Sports airs a tripleheader headlined by No. 5 Arizona's matchup with Cal Poly.
Davis played four seasons at North Carolina and enjoyed a 12-year NBA career. Upon retiring, he went into broadcasting in 2007 with ESPN before returning to his alma mater as an assistant coach in 2012.

Davis took over as the head coach ahead of the 2021-22 season after the retirement of Roy Williams. The Tar Heels went on to reach the 2022 Final Four and beat archrival Duke in the national semifinals before finishing as runners-up to Kansas.
UNC made the tournament three more times under Davis, who was crowned the ACC Coach of the Year for 2023-24.
Davis told The Athletic's Brendan Marks that his view of broadcasting has evolved thanks to his experience coaching.
"The first time I did it, the only perspective I could speak on was the one that I experienced, and that was as a former player," he said. "Coming back, having been an assistant coach and a head coach, I've been able to see it from different angles."
