LeBron James, the former Los Angeles Lakers’ icon, has sparked a heated debate among many as he continues to travel to Philadelphia from his residence in New York City using a Fanatics-branded corporate helicopter. This has raised many eyebrows among fans and analysts and now, Pulitzer winning journalist and podcaster Pablo Torre has weighed in on it.Popular journalist Pablo Torre reflects on LeBron James riding a helicopter to reach Philadelphia ahead of the new seasonA few hours ago, in an interview with Front Office Sports live event Tuned In, hosted by reporter Daniel Roberts, Pablo Torre said, "Yeah, that's a story. I commend you guys for being on top of that. It's something that I also have been watching, of course…”The popular Pulitzer winning journalist added, “I know that Fanatics logo. I saw that. I was also a little mad that I didn't get to get that one first. On that story, specifically, I will say that we're very interested and we are, of course looking into all the ways; that is both a good story as well as something of interest to the league. And by the way, it may not be the latter, it does appear to be the former as a business story."Pablo Torre continued, "We're also getting tips from NBA owners who are like sending your story being like 'what is this?'" Because now I'm the guy who seems to be a lever on something like accountability, even among billionaires, which is a fun plot twist."However, the four time NBA champion LeBron James has kept himself away from the mess as he has focused on training for the new season as he gears up to debut with the Philadelphia 76ers.LeBron James focuses on his career amid criticism over his behavior ahead of the new seasonA few weeks ago, LeBron James’ spokesperson had told Front Office Sports, "The deal we signed with Fanatics almost three years ago includes access to their corporate aviation…”The spokesperson added, “It's a feature in many of their deals with their largest athletes and we appreciate their partnership as LeBron splits his time between New York and Philadelphia."But this has only made matters worse. In the last few days, there have been many conversations about how LeBron James is unable to spend any time bonding with his new teammates since he is in a rush to leave by his helicopter after the practice sessions. Many have called him out for his carbon footprint since he is using a helicopter almost every day.Despite the mess it has created, it seems all LeBron James is focusing on is the new season as he eyes a win this time.Stay updated with the latest Asian Games 2026 news, check the Asian Games medal tally and complete Asian Games schedule.Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
