23 Unbelievably Dumb Things Husbands Said
"My husband thought that women wear white when they are on their period because that’s what they do in feminine hygiene commercials."
We asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to share the dumbest thing someone they know said. Soooooo many people shared stupid things their husbands said, so, of course, I compiled the funniest ones. Enjoy:
1. "My favorite dumb thing my husband said (when I was pregnant) is that he thought babies don't wear diapers when they sleep. After laughing for a bit, I told him they still pee and poo in their sleep. He said he knew that, but he thought they wore a special nightgown or something in their sleep instead. I think he thought that's what sleep sacks were for."
2. "I was planning a trip to Los Cabos in Mexico with my ex-husband (when we were married). My then-husband asked if I knew how to speak Mexican in addition to Spanish. I looked at him like, 'Did you really just say that?' Here is a guy who is incredibly smart, runs a hedge fund, and has an MBA from a top business school, and he honestly thought in Mexico they spoke Mexican. I was dumbfounded."

5. "Bank debit cards were a fairly new concept. I got an overdraft notice from the bank. My ex-husband said it was no problem, we could just go to the ATM and withdraw money to deposit in our checking account. I had to explain the ATM did not just dole out free money; every transaction deducted from our account. He was stunned."

7. "My ex-husband saw a Tampax commercial on TV and said, 'They're advertising those when they know women are having their periods.' I had to explain that we were not all on the same schedule."
8. "In the airport, taking my (now ex) husband on a business trip to California with me, he couldn't understand why I was setting my watch back three hours. When I explained time zones to him, he argued with and laughed at me. He refused to believe me until he saw the clocks when we landed."
9. "My husband and I were discussing our neighbor, who just got diagnosed with prostate cancer, and my husband said that he should probably get his prostate examined. Then he looked at me and said, 'Hon, you should probably get your prostate checked, too!' I told him that women don't have prostates."
