4 dead as massive cylinder blast brings down 2-storey building in UP’s Fatehpur

PRAYAGRAJ: At least four persons, including three of a family, died and one other was seriously injured when a two storyed house collaped after a blast in a domestic LPG cylinder at Malwa block under the limits of Malwa police station of Fatehpur district on Monday.Upon being alerted over house collapse incident, joint teams of police and fire department rushed the spot and carried out rescue operations.A senior cop told TOI that there were at least 10 family members in a family living in a two storyed building at Malwa block.He added when a woman member of a family went inside kitchen to prepare food, the domestic cylinder exploded and resulted the collapse of the house.Five of the family members managed to escape from the house while five others were trapped in the debris of collapsed house.The cops however reacued all five trapped persons and brought them at hospital for treatment.Doctors however declared four of them dead and the condition of remaining one was stated to be serious.Stay updated with the latest Prayagraj news.
