‘Threatened to rape’: Woman alleges assault on daughter by bureaucrat’s son in south Delhi

NEW DELHI: A woman has alleged that her daughter was assaulted in south Delhi Sunday, claiming that the son of a senior bureaucrat was involved.Police have received a complaint and are verifying the allegations.The incident came to light through a social media post in which the woman alleged that the assault took place around 11.30pm while her daughter was recording a video. She claimed that the accused punched her daughter, dragged her by the hair to a bathroom and attempted to twist or break her hands.The woman also alleged that the family had received threats of an acid attack and rape.A senior police officer said the woman had named the bureaucrat’s son in her complaint.
