'Congress Jitao Party’: Devendra Fadnavis claims grand old party using CJP to fill political vacuum

MUMBAI: Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has described the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) as the “Congress Jitao Party”, alleging that the outfit is being used to fill a political vacuum and benefit the Congress.The CJP has announced a demonstration in Mumbai from October 2, demanding the removal of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.In an interview with a media channel, Fadnavis said a political vacuum had emerged and the Congress lacked the strength to fill it. He alleged that organisations without a political “baggage” were being used to fill that space.“This was done before the Lok Sabha elections when 189 ultra-left organisations came together during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. They built a narrative which benefited the Congress.
