Bhayander: The political rivalry between BJP and Shiv Sena in Mira-Bhayander has spilled over into Navratri celebrations, with both parties announcing plans to raise funds for drought-affected people through their respective events.BJP’s Lotus Navratri, organised by the East West Foundation led by MLA Narendra Mehta, will donate proceeds from passes to drought relief. Standing committee chairperson Hasmukh Gehlot said the organisers would provide at least Rs 1 crore for the cause.Following this announcement, state transport minister Pratap Sarnaik has declared that the Navratri festival organised by the Pratap Sarnaik Foundation will be free for all visitors.
