Bombchus are a piece of optional equipment in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake. These tricky bombs run across the ground in a straight line, exploding upon hitting an enemy. This page will cover how to get Bombchus, as they are not necessary to complete the game nor found in a dungeon.
Bombchus can be obtained as a reward from the Castle Town mini-game, Bombchu Bowling. You can find the Bombchu Bowling mini-game by entering the building to the west of the fountain. This mini-game only becomes available after getting the Bombs and completing Dodongo's Cavern.
Bombchu Bowling costs 10 Rupees to play. You get 10 Bombchus and need to destroy three increasingly difficult targets. You must hit the bright yellow spot to proceed. At first the target is usually straight ahead, but sometimes it appears along the side or in a corner. For these you will need to throw at an angle, so adjust carefully between throws and do not waste and Bombchus.
If you successfully manage to destroy all three targets, you will get Bombchus permanently. You can continue playing Bombchu Bowling to obtain even more rewards, such as an expansion for your Bomb Bag.
