Tunics are Link's armor in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake. There are three Tunics in the game, and instead of increasing defense or altering Link's stats Tunics offer resistance against elements like Fire and Water. Tunics can be purchased from certain stores for a high price, but using this guide to all Tunic locations you can learn how to get both of them for free.
See IGN's guide to Tunics in Ocarina of Time Remake below:
The Hero's Clothes , or simply the Green Tunic, is Link's default Tunic and his starting gear.
The Goron Tunic , or simply the Red Tunic, offers resistance against damage in high heat locations like Death Mountain Crater. The Goron Tunic can be purchased from the Goron Shop for 600 Rupees.
Alternatively, you can get a Goron Tunic for free by hitting Link (the Goron) with a Bomb as he rolls around Goron City (Adult Link only). Once he is stopped you can speak to him. Exhaust his dialogue options and he will give you a free Goron Tunic.
The Zora Tunic , or simply the Blue Tunic, allows Link to breathe underwater indefinitely.
You can get the Zora Tunic for free from King Zora by freeing him from the Red Ice. To do this, you will need to enter the Ice Cavern dungeon found in the Zora Fountain as Adult Link, bottle some Blue Fire, then use the Blue Fire on the Red Ice to melt it. After listening to his dialogue, he will give you the Zora Tunic for free.
