Accessory-maker Rolling Square has launched a new sister-brand called Await whose first product is a screen-free 8-megapixel digital camera that emulates the functionality and limitations of film cameras. You shoot on a simulated roll with 24 exposures but you don’t get to see your pics until they’re “processed” on a mobile app that gives you the option to download the results or order physical 4x6 prints. There are a lot of complaints about a Spotify outage on Downdetector, and when we checked ourselves, cached playlists seem to work just fine, but logging in fresh or trying to stream new music and playlists popped up error messages pointing us to try songs stored offline. The @SpotifyCares support account has confirmed developers are looking into the problems, but there’s no word on when service might be fully restored. The company paused sign-ups for the plan after demand from GPT-6 Astra put a strain on its systems.
