Last week at the 2026 IHSAA Boys Tennis State Tournament, the trio of Seeger, West Lafayette and Crawfordsville won their respective sectional championships out of the Lafayette area to advance forward in the postseason.

On Tuesday, Oct. 6, the regional round began with semifinal action. Pitted against Logansport, Seeger won its matchup 4-1 to advance to the regional championship game against defending champion Kokomo. But the road ended for the Patriots there, dropping a 4-1 match to end their season with a 16-2 record.

Seeger made it the furthest of any Lafayette area team in the tournament. It won Sectional 42 by defeating Frankfort in the quarterfinal 5-0, Attica in the semifinal 4-1 and Central Catholic in the championship game 3-2.

Kokomo had taken West Lafayette down in the previous round in a competitive 3-2 matchup before it defeated the Patriots. The Red Devils finished their season with a record of 18-4, defeating Rossville 5-0, Benton Central 5-0 and Harrison 5-0 to sweep Sectional 41 previously.

West Lafayette's No. 1, Linden Xiang, also competed in the individual sectional. He won the singles championship out of Harrison, continuing a dominant season for the Red Devils. The sophomore will compete in the North 2 bracket at the regional against the winner of the Bluffton sectional, which takes place Oct. 17.

The Sectional 34 champion Athenians, who won it by defeating Western Boone 3-2, Southmont 5-0 and North Montgomery 4-1, matched up with Parke Heritage in the regional semifinal. Crawfordsville fell short 4-1, concluding its season with a 16-5 record.

Parke Heritage moved on to lose to Zionsville in the regional championship 4-1. Kokomo (23-3) will matchup with Zionsville (19-1) in the semi-state championship at 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
