Liverpool confirm midfielder exit ahead of transfer deadline

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has joined Valencia on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.

The 23-year-old has completed his move to the La Liga side ahead of the closure of the summer transfer window.

Elliott has been with Liverpool since joining the club from Fulham in 2019 and has gone on to make 149 appearances for the Reds, scoring 15 goals.

During his time at Anfield, the midfielder contributed to Premier League title successes in 2019/20 and 2024/25, while also winning the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, League Cup and FA Cup.

Elliott spent last season on loan at Aston Villa before returning to Liverpool during the summer.

The England international will now continue his development in Spain after completing a temporary move to Valencia for the rest of the campaign.
