What an eventful morning on College GameDay.

· 263 words

A Texas Longhorns fan named Connor woke up today with great excitement for his team's primetime matchup against Ohio State—an early test of top-five teams that could go a long way in shaping the College Football Playoff picture. Perhaps he already knew that he would be participating in Pat McAfee's College GameDay kicking contest or maybe that's something that materialized on site. However that went down, he is having an absolutely unforgettable day as he became college football's main character by successfully converting the kick and sending the Austin crowd into delirium.

It was an awesome moment and made even better when our newfound protagonist made it clear that he intended to donate half of the $1.2 million prize to charity.

This right here is what it's all about. Connor is pitching about as perfect a game as a non-athlete can pitch on the sporting stage. Except for one thing.

He left Matthew McConaughey hanging amid all the chaos after this life-changing boot. Totally understandable given the moment. And something that the official College GameDay account had fun with after the fact.

Considering the classy move and everything going on, surely this is alright, alright, alright with the actor. And it better be. Connor must be protected at all costs.

Texas has a chance to make an already great day jump up into the stratosphere if they can knock off the Buckeyes later on tonight in the massive matchup. Everything seems to be coming up Connor so don't bet against them.
