Manchester City have assured their players that they have nothing to fear from the club's financial case.

According to The Sun , the Cityzens insist that "sporting justice" will prevail as they appeal the Premier League commission's verdict.

City have been found guilty of breaching 114 of the Premier League's financial rules, and rival teams are calling for them to face a historic punishment to match the severity of the situation

The Cityzens remain defiant and have repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. They're also determined to overturn the decision, claiming that the commission's findings contain serious errors.

The club has also accused the Premier League of relying on conspiracy theories and insists that their evidence will prove their innocence.

Gianluigi Donnarumma's agent, Enzo Railo, has said the goalkeeper and his teammates have received reassurances from the club and are not letting the situation affect their preparations.

"Will the Manchester City chaos change anything?" he said. "No, nothing will change for us or for Gigio.

"News comes out periodically. The club has spoken with Gigio, and everyone is calm. Now there are important games against Liverpool and PSG, then sporting justice will take its course.

"But Gigio has had reassurances from Manchester City."

City have formally lodged their appeal and released a statement arguing that the verdict contained material errors of law, principle and fact, making it unsafe.

"The club's firm position is that, on multiple grounds, the opinion contains clear material errors of law, principle and fact and is unsafe," their statement read.

"The club is innocent of the accusations made by the Premier League and a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence exists in support of all of its positions, relating to this case.

"We will continue to respect due process and are necessarily restricted in what we can say further until all proceedings are complete."
