City v Ipswich: FPL Gameweek 7 Scout Report

And it has all the key information you need ahead of City's latest Premier League assignment which will see us welcome Ipswich Town to the Etihad for a 15:00 (UK) kick-off on Saturday 17 October.

The Blues will be looking to extend our winning run to seven, with our latest league outing a thrilling 3-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield.

But it's also a game that will see Enzo Maresca's side focused on returning to winning ways following an intense 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League earlier in the week.

With that in mind, here is our Gameweek 7 report in the lead up to the 11:00 (UK) FPL deadline on Saturday...

Josko Gvardiol (£5.8m) is one of only three players in the league to have made an appearance in every fixture and registered a return in all of them. The defender came off the bench in Gameweek 6 and returned his fourth assist of the season. No defender in the game has registered more assists than Gvardiol.

Gvardiol has also registered a goal, two clean sheets and six bonus points. His five attacking returns can only be bettered in the City team by Erling Haaland (£15.6m) and Rayan Cherki (£7.8m).

The City defender was unfortunate not to register his third clean sheet of the season in Gameweek 6, as City registered a clean sheet against Liverpool. Players need to play for 60 minutes or more to secure the clean sheet points in FPL.

Gvardiol has also come close to registering Defensive Contribution points several times already this season. Defenders register Defensive Contribution points for completing 10 of more defensive actions (clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles) in a single game. Gvardiol registered eight in Gameweek 3 and seven in each of Gameweeks 1, 4 and 5.

Forward Emersonn (£5.6) is opponent's Ipswich's top-scoring player in Fantasy this season. The forward has registered 28 points this season, from two goals, an assist and six bons points.

Elsewhere, Jan Paul Van Hecke (£4.9m) and Luka Vuskovic (£5.0m) are low-owned defenders who have good potential in Gameweek 7.

Over the last four matches Van Hecke has registered 25 points for two clean sheets, four Defensive Contribution points, two bonus points and a goal.

Vuskovic and Brighton have kept the most clean sheets in the league this season with four. The centre-back has also registered six Defensive Contribution points as well as a goal and two bonus points.
