Steve Sarkisian didn't want to stick around for his postgame ESPN interview after Texas' comeback win over Ohio State

Steve Sarkisian was in no mood for a lengthy postgame interview after his team's 20-point comeback win against No. 1 Ohio State.

The No. 4 Texas coach barely stuck around to say a sentence when he was tracked down for the customary winner's interview by ESPN's Holly Rowe. Sarkisian yelled "Texas fight, hook 'em" as he dashed off to celebrate.

Rowe, understandably, didn't seem too pleased.

Sarkisian's, uh, quick postgame interview came after the broadcast made it very clear that he was not at fault for blowing reporters off at halftime. At the start of the third quarter, Laura Rutledge, who was serving as the other sideline reporter alongside Rowe, explained that ESPN was having technical difficulties and that Sarkisian had declined to be interviewed at halftime after waiting because of those difficulties.

Texas trailed 20-3 at halftime after a disastrous start to the game. But the Longhorns scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter for a shock 24-23 win over the Buckeyes. Hollywood Smothers scored the go-ahead touchdown with 25 seconds to go after Ohio State coach Ryan Day declined to let the Longhorns score earlier from the 1-yard line.

Had Ohio State not tried to stop Texas multiple times at the goal line, the Buckeyes could have gotten the ball back with over a minute left down one. Instead, Ohio State had no time for a reasonable comeback attempt.
