Amarius Mims draws All-Pro buzz after dominant Bengals performance

Cincinnati Bengals right tackle Amarius Mims certainly came to strut his stuff in the Bengals ' season opener.

Mims arrived with breakout expectations, and his season opener surfaced hopeful signs of more than solid play to come.

He allowed zero pressures across 37 pass-blocking snaps in Cincinnati's 33-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, according to Gridiron Grading , citing Pro Football Focus' initial charting.

The account noted that Mims primarily matched up against Buccaneers rookie edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. and added that the performance would represent the highest pass-blocking grade of Mims' career if the initial grading is true.

"Amarius Mims looks like an All-Pro," Gridiron Grading wrote in an earlier post. "He's about to make the leap."

Mims, Cincinnati's No. 18 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, has flashed high-end ability throughout his young career when healthy.

Supposing Sunday's initial numbers hold, his third NFL season is off to about as strong a start as Cincinnati could have hoped.
