It appears that Jordan Hall may not be playing in the Spartans game against EMU.

Michigan State is gearing up to play Eastern Michigan on Saturday afternoon in East Lansing, with the Spartans aiming for a 2-0 start in the Pat Fitzgerald era of MSU football .

The Spartans, coming off a win against Toledo , are hosting the 1-1 Eagles that are coming off of a loss to San Jose State . Former Michigan State quarterback Noah Kim will be leading the Eagles into Spartan Stadium in his return to East Lansing.

When Kim takes the field against the MSU defense, he will be looking at a unit without their star linebacker and green dot of the defense.

According to Stephen Brooks of 247Sports, it appears that Jordan Hall is not warming up and is in street clothes. This makes it appear that Hall will not be available in the game for the Spartans. Hall hurt his shoulder/arm a week ago against Toledo, and it appears an extra week of rest is in store for the Spartan leader.

If Hall is unable to go, the Spartans will most likely lean on Brady Pretzlaff and Caleb Wheatland as leaders of the defense.
