Latest Heisman Trophy 2026 Odds as Darian Mensah Rises, Marcel Reed Falls

Nearing the end of a very notable Week 3 in the 2026 college football season, the early Heisman race is taking shape with one clear frontrunner at this point.

In the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook , Miami quarterback Darian Mensah has ascended to the top of the list at +240 (bet $100 to win $240). Wide receivers Jeremiah Smith from Ohio State and Malachi Toney from Miami are tied for second at +850.

Based on Saturday's results, the biggest loser in the race is Marcel Reed after Texas A&M was upset by Kentucky at Kyle Field.

Reed didn't have great support coming into this week, but his odds now sit at 125-1. He finished 26-of-49 for 236 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions against Kentucky.

There's still plenty of time for the Aggies to build themselves back into a playoff contender, but it's safe to assume the Heisman won't be making its way to College Station later this year.

Mensah's separation from the pack comes after he started 24-of-24 in Miami's 33-20 win over Wake Forest on Friday night. He did end up throwing four incompletions in the game, lowering his season-long completion percentage to a pedestrian 89.9 on 79 attempts.

One of the big reasons Mensah has had so much success early in the season is his rapport with Toney. The Hurricanes star wideout has jumped into a tie for second place in the Heisman odds thanks to leading FBS in receptions (28), receiving yards (444) and receiving touchdowns (five).

Based on last week's odds , Arch Manning has seen a lot of movement. Coming out of Texas' dramatic win over Ohio State, he was at +2500 and is now down +950.

Manning's gain appears to have negatively impacted Smith, who was +440 last week. The Buckeyes standout did make history on Saturday by becoming their all-time leader in receiving yards in a 59-3 win over Kent State.

It is interesting that Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin is well behind Smith in the odds because normally the edge would go to the signal-caller, but Smith's reputation and dominance has been so well established that he is viewed as the primary engine for the offense.

Another player who fell from where they were perched last week is Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton. He was at +2200 after a 70-20 victory over Western Kentucky, but now sits outside the top 10.

Stockton wasn't asked to do a lot on Saturday against Arkansas, but he made his opportunities count. He went 10-of-13 for 147 yards and one touchdown through the air, along with 97 rushing yards on seven carries in a 45-17 road victory.
