St. Louis CITY SC put their 17-game league unbeaten run on the line against the LA Galaxy during Matchday 29's Sunday Night Soccer presented by Continental Tire matchup.

St. Louis kept their unbeaten streak alive, earning a 3-0 road victory over Red Bull New York .

Star striker Rafael Navarro opened the scoring after five minutes, then Simon Becher and Tomáš Ostrák added late insurance tallies to secure the win.

Rafael Navarro: St. Louis CITY's biggest summer signing has made an immediate impact, netting five goals in five games since arriving in a blockbuster trade with the Colorado Rapids.

Carlo Holse: The Danish international has quickly settled into his new surroundings, contributing 3g/2a in nine MLS matches since joining from the Turkish Süper Lig.

Simon Becher: Although St. Louis added plenty of attacking talent during the summer transfer window, Becher is the team leader in goal contributions (9g/5a).

Roman Bürki: The 2023 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year has helped St. Louis allow the sixth-fewest goals (36) league-wide this year.

St. Louis have authored a remarkable turnaround under first-year head coach Yoann Damet, going unbeaten in 17 straight league matches and 19 across all competitions.

They're one game away from tying Red Bull New York for the all-time unbeaten run across all competitions (20 games; 2016 season).

Aside from challenging for first place in the Western Conference, St. Louis have also reached the US Open Cup final. They'll visit the Columbus Crew on Oct. 21 and vie for the club's first-ever trophy.

The Galaxy rallied from two goals down to win 3-2 at home over the Colorado Rapids .

LA benefited from a Reggie Cannon own goal before João Klauss equalized in the 66th minute. Justin Haak completed the comeback eight minutes later, heading home his first Galaxy goal.

João Klauss: The former St. Louis CITY striker returns to Energizer Park in excellent form. After missing nearly five months with a foot injury, Klauss has scored in back-to-back matches.

Marco Reus: The German legend remains the centerpiece of LA's attack, leading the Galaxy with 16 goal contributions (7g/9a). He's been particularly influential lately, posting 3g/2a in his last four appearances.

Sergi Roberto: The former FC Barcelona midfielder has brought class and calm to the Galaxy lineup since arriving from Como in Italy's Serie A.

JT Marcinkowski: Somewhat quietly, Marcinkowski has compiled a strong season for LA and made game-changing saves.

After spending much of the year below the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs line, LA look to be finding form at the right time. The Galaxy are unbeaten in three games and recently earned galvanizing victories over Minnesota United FC and Colorado.

Summer reinforcements have sparked the turnaround, while Klauss' return from injury has provided another timely boost as the Galaxy find themselves in the thick of a crowded Western Conference playoff race.
