Maryland introduced a unique promotion for students attending the team's upcoming football game against Illinois.
Students who stay until the fourth quarter of the contest can enter a raffle for free tuition for the spring 2027 semester, according to Ira Gorawara of The Athletic.
In order to enter the raffle, students must attend Saturday's clash with Illinois at SECU Stadium and scan a QR code shown on the video board before waiting until the fourth quarter.
Maryland's full-time undergraduate tuition for in-state students is $5,507.50 per semester (h/t Gorawara).
The Terrapins have struggled throughout their 2026 campaign, owning a 2-5 record that includes a 0-4 mark in the Big Ten. Since the start of the 2024 season, Maryland has gone a mere 2-20 against conference opponents.
The Terrapins have already made a significant change this year, as head coach Mike Locksley was fired and replaced by interim coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim on Wednesday.
Maryland will face Illinois on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.
