The Dallas Cowboys recently got back into the win column with a blowout road win over the reeling Philadelphia Eagles on Monday evening on the road. The Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones are looking for ways to improve the team as the season progresses, and evidently, that could come from the front office as well.
Jones was recently asked if the Cowboys might consider bringing back legendary franchise quarterback Troy Aikman to the team in a front office role, and his answer will raise eyebrows.
"The answer is not that necessarily we're going to do something more direct with the team at this time, but don't rule it out. It's very possible," he said, per 105.3 The FAN, via Jon Machota of The Athletic on X, formerly Twitter.

Aikman is widely expected to leave his current role as an analyst for ESPN's Monday Night Football amid disagreements with both the network and co-anchor Joe Buck, with whom he had a reported argument before a recent game between the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills.
Aikman won multiple Super Bowls with the Cowboys during their dynastic days of the 1990s, and fans have speculated for years that the two sides could end up reuniting at some point in the future.
It's unclear what kind of role Jones might have in store for Aikman should such a move come to pass, but Cowboys fans would likely welcome the former star back with open arms.
Meanwhile, Aikman has to finish out the rest of this season in the booth for ESPN before such conversations can take place. The Cowboys will next hit the field on Sunday for a home game against the Arizona Cardinals.
