College football rankings: Updated NCAA Top 25 polls after Ole Miss, Tennessee losses in Week 4

College football's Week 4 was highlighted by a whopping six games between ranked opponents, which was the most in a single week since 2023.

The results gave us some surprises. In the early window, Arch Manning and Texas got past Tennessee on the road. The Longhorn defense led the way, as Collin Simmons tied a school record with five sacks . Also in the afternoon, new Florida head coach Jon Sumrall picked up his first signature win in Gainesville, as his Gators upset No. 4 Ole Miss.

Georgia rolled over Oklahoma 41-13, as Sooner quarterback John Mateer's struggles are only intensifying . Iowa knocked off Michigan after getting an extra couple of seconds put back on the clock, seen as karma for the Wolverines Week 1 win over Western Michigan. Also in the Big Ten, Penn State was upset by Wisconsin 24-20.

In the evening slate, Oregon beat USC 41-27, extending Trojans head coach Lincoln Rileys struggles against ranked teams. The Ducks did so despite losing star quarterback Dante Moore to a vicious hit in the first half by USC's Desman Stephens II.

LSU bounced back against Texas A&M at home, winning 35-6, and Mississippi State improved to 4-0 with a 31-24 victory over Missouri at home.
