Manchester City Confirm 23-Man Travelling Squad to Face RB Leipzig in UEFA Champions League

MATCH PREVIEW: RB Leipzig vs Manchester City (UEFA Champions League)

City come into their latest European adventure off the back of a difficult run of results, albeit reaching the Carabao Cup quarter-final stage despite not winning any of their last three games in 90 minutes.

After defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park - their first loss of the 2026/27 Premier League season - City dismissed of Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup via a penalty shoot-out that followed a 2-2 draw in regular time.

However, Fabian Hurzeler would mastermind the ultimate revenge three days later, coming away from the Etihad Stadium with a 0-1 win in the Premier League, moving to within just two points of City in second place, as Arsenal leapfrogged the Sky Blues into first.

As for Manchester City's record in the UEFA Champions League so far this season, the league phase has started relatively positively, defeating FC Porto 0-2 away from home, before narrowly losing out to Paris Saint-Germain at the Etihad on matchday two.

A 2-4 defeat to the European champions would then be followed by a dominant 5-1 win over Greek giants AEK Athens - a game that featured a hat-trick for Phil Foden, as well as strikes from Rayan Cherki and Elliot Anderson.

Defenders: Rico Lewis, Matheus Nunes, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, Ruben Dias, Marc Guehi, Josko Gvardiol, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Nico O'Reilly.

Midfielders: Ayyoub Bouaddi, Elliot Anderson, Mateo Kovacic, Enzo Fernandez, Phil Foden, Rayan Cherki.

Forwards: Allan Elias, Iliman Ndiaye, Jeremy Doku, Floyd Samba, Erling Haaland.

This is a developing story. More to follow.
