Tennessee football vs Texas 'College GameDay' picks from Nick Saban, Johnny Knoxville

Tennessee football could make history against the Longhorns if it pulls off the upset in its SEC opener.

The No. 13 Vols (3-0) take on No. 1 Texas (3-0) at Neyland Stadium on Sept. 26 (noon ET, ABC). If they win, it'll be their first win over a team ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press poll since beating Auburn in 1985. Tennessee hosted ESPN's "College GameDay" to preview the massive matchup with stuntman and "Jackass" co-creator Johnny Knoxville as the celebrity guest picker.

Tennessee did beat Alabama in 2022 when the Tide was ranked No. 1 in the Coaches Poll but No. 3 by the AP. Coach Josh Heupel would be the first coach in program history to beat two No. 1-ranked teams including that matchup should the Vols beat Texas.

Knoxville joked on the set he was ready to go in the game, because he thought he said Pat McAfee said "guest kicker" not "guest picker." He was prepared with quips for every pick, including comparing picking between Oklahoma and Georgia to choosing gout vs syphilis – he picked syphilis, which was Georgia.

He also slid in a great roast later on, saying that he was so confident Missouri was going to win that if it lost, he'd "punish himself" by listening to McAfee's new album "The Diary Of A Polarizing Figure."
