Bradshaw raced in to convert Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu's cross at the far post in the second minute of stoppage time to earn the U's a share of the spoils after they had fallen behind to a first-half Jayden Stockley goal.

Stockley converted Dujuan Richards' cross in the 30th minute, shrugging off a challenge from Cathal Heffernan to score at the second attempt.

The veteran striker had missed a good chance to open the scoring five minutes earlier, heading straight at Jake Eastwood.

Cambridge dominated possession throughout, but struggled to create clear-cut opportunities. Josef Bursik pushed a Gassan Ahadme header on to the crossbar and saved from Shayne Lavery, while Louis Appere missed a good chance from close range.

Callum Maycock should have made it 2-0 to the visitors after a flowing Dons move, but he was denied by Eastwood, who dashed off his line to block.

Then, after a spell of Cambridge pressure, Bradshaw's late intervention ensured the points were shared.
