FAYETEVILLE, Ark.— Georgia football lost one of its best wide receivers in the first quarter and its top running back in the third quarter Saturday in the 45-17 takedown of Arkansas.

Isiah Canion , the Georgia Tech transfer, left the game with what ABC's broadcast called a right leg injury.

Nate Frazier sustained an undisclosed injury after rushing for 75 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown.

"I think both of them are fine," coach Kirby Smart said afterwards. "I don't honstely know. Nate had a little ding. It bothered him. We're going to go check on it and Isiah the same way. I thought both of them could have played if they needed to."

Running back Chauncey Bowens had 11 carries for 39 yards and three touchdowns and running back Dwight Phillips had three catches for 20 yards.

"Interchangeable parts," Smart said. "I mean they all play, they all work, they all do the same practice habits. I like all of our backs."

Thomas Blackshear stepped up with Canion, who had three catches for 28 yards in the first two games, sidelined. He was targeted three times without a catch.

"Thomas has gotten great reps the last two weeks," Smart said. "He works really hard over there. We've got a multiple offense where multiple people can play that position. Thomas has played it well. Will Taylor has played it well."

Smart said he wished Blackshear had more targets "because he had some great routes that didn't get rewarded."
