The Green Bay Packers are currently gearing up for their game on Thursday night at home against the Carolina Panthers. The Packers are looking to bounce back after a tough loss last week vs the Detroit Lions dropped their record to 4-3 on the season.

Just hours before the game on Thursday, the team announced a key injury update on a member of their defensive backfield.

"Keisean Nixon has been added to the injury report and is questionable for tonight's game against the Panthers," reported the Packers on X, formerly Twitter.

The team didn't specify when this injury might have occurred, but did specify on their website that Nixon was dealing with a shoulder injury.

The Packers' defensive backfield has been playing some improved football of late, largely holding an explosive Lions offense in check during last week's narrow road loss.

Panthers quarterback Bryce Young and his talented core of receivers have found quite a bit of success so far this year, save for last week's ugly thrashing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so the Packers would certainly love to have Nixon in the lineup on Thursday to try to help slow them down.

If he's unable to go, the Packers' already limited depth in their defensive backfield would be tested even more against a Panthers team looking to bounce back after last week's debacle.

In any case, kickoff between the Packers and Panthers is slated for Thursday evening at 8:15 pm ET from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, with the game set to be carried by Prime Video.
