Dallas Trinity FC uses late goal to salvage a draw with Brooklyn FC
Seven Castain found the back of the net to secure a point for the visitors.
Dallas Trinity FC scored a late goal to secure a 1-1 draw against Brooklyn FC at Maimonides Park in New York on Saturday.
As it did in the first meeting between the two teams in September, Trinity FC had more possession and generated more expected goals, but the visitors struggled to put away their chances in this one.
Brooklyn opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a goal from forward Tziarra King, a left-footed strike from just inside the 18-yard box that found the side netting. The home team carried their lead into halftime.
Seven Castain delivered the equalizer for Trinity FC in the 86th minute. The forward poked a perfectly-weighted pass from midfielder Juliet Moore past Brooklyn goalkeeper Nicolette Pasquerella to rescue a point for her side.
After a three-game winning streak , Trinity FC has dropped points in back-to-back matches. Led by new head coach Lee Nguyen , they are now in third in the Gainbridge Super League standings.
Dallas' next match will be against Chivas Femenil at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Cotton Bowl in the State Fair Clásico . The game will be played on the final Saturday of the 2026 State Fair of Texas.
