Notre Dame is just a day away from the biggest game of its season .

It's the No. 4 Fighting Irish against top-ranked Miami at Notre Dame Stadium Saturday evening, with the fate of the College Football Playoff push on the line.

The video begins with famous words from the late, great head coach Lou Holtz: "You gotta believe. This school was founded on faith and on belief."

It then shifts to narration by actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis, who is slated to be the guest picker on College GameDay Saturday morning.

"History is a funny thing," Sudeikis said. "Years go by, names change, generations come and go. But history has a way of repeating itself. These teams, these stakes, on the biggest stage...Notre Dame and Miami: College Football's biggest names, meeting with everything on the line. Maybe that's why this all feels so familiar. We've seen it before."

As the video unveils the words of Holtz once again, "If you believe it, you'll feel it," it shows archived footage of No. 4 Notre Dame's 31-30 upset over No. 1 Miami in 1988.

The Irish's monumental victory that year propelled them to the national title and an undefeated season.

"1988...that is history," Sudeikis said. "It leaves a blueprint. It shows what it took. It reminds us what's at stake, but we're not here to repeat history. We're here to make it."

The video then reveals a clip of coach Marcus Freeman hyping up his Notre Dame squad this season.

"Do it for somebody else. Do it for these guys in this room," Freeman said.

It ends with a Sudiekis hinting at what could occur if Notre Dame, a significant favorite against Miami this weekend, pulls off the same win again 38 years later.

"History doesn't decide what happens next. That decision belongs to us," Sudiekis said.

The Irish (7-1) and the Hurricanes (8-0) will face off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on NBC.
